Chairman names new Director of Operations.
It is with great pleasure that Chairman Brad Galinson announces the appointment of Joe Comper as Gillingham Football Club’s new Director of Operations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, Comper will be responsible for the Club’s non-football operations.
Joe currently serves as GFC’s Head of Commercial. He will continue to concentrate on his remaining commercial objectives as he transitions to operations. Joe is currently taking an active role in positioning the Commercial department as we head into next season.
Since the takeover in December, Gillingham Football Club has been engaged in a major restructuring of the organization which aims to bring the Club to the next level of performance and productivity. Comper will fill a pivotal role left vacant by Paul Fisher’s departure in April.
Brad Galinson has the highest praise for the GFC staff, saying that: “The people who have gotten us this far have done an incredible job working collaboratively. No single person is responsible for the tremendous success we are experiencing - it has been a group effort. It takes all of us to build a winning organization and Joe is just the right person to lead us into our next chapter of building an outstanding team on the pitch and in the office.”
Galinson adds: “The fact that we are promoting internally demonstrates the true quality inside this Club, as well as our unequivocal trust in the leadership team. We are thrilled that Joe is joining us on this journey.”
