Edinburgh on…Port Vale: “They’re pretty similar to Bradford, they’re a possession-based team, they like to get on the ball. They’ve got a new manager who wants to implement his ideas, and they’ve had a very good start, so we’re expecting and knowing we’ll be in for a tough game.
“We’ve got to go and stamp our authority, be aggressive in our approach and impose ourselves on the game. We’ve had success on road this season, our perfomances have been excellent, which is something we’ll look to carry on. Port Vale are unbeaten at home, so we know it’ll be tough.”
Edinburgh on…playing away from home: “I don’t think our approach is anything different. We know at home, teams are coming here and restricting us space. But we’ll overcome that, I have no doubt, and get our home form to where everybody connected with the club wants it to be. Away from home, teams tend to come onto you, which allows areas for us to exploit, and that’s what we’ll try to do.”

Edinburgh on…Bradley Dack: “The rest we gave him has worked. He trained on Tuesday and said it was the best he’s felt, and he’s not had any reoccurrence of the knock. We hope we’re over the worst of that one and that he can get his season up and running now. His energy and enthusiasm to gain possession all over the pitch is a trigger for his team-mates. We’ve got to be mindful that he’s not had a lot of football, so it’s going to take a little while to get him up to speed. But when he’s there, we know what player we’ll be getting.
Edinburgh on…returning players: “Scott Wagstaff played 35 minutes on Saturday and brought real energy onto the pitch. He’s had no repercussions, and he’s trained well this week. It may be three or four weeks before we see him at his best, but he’s on track.
“Jamie O’Hara had a setback last week, he’s picked up an injury to his heel, so that’s a real blow. We’ve got to assess that over the next couple of days, but he won’t be in the squad for Port Vale. His general fitness is good, so once this injury clears up, we’ll get him back in the squad.
“Bradley Garmston is out on the grass running during training, and in another couple of weeks he’ll be in back in action.”
