Gillingham preparing to take on Watford in the next round of the U21 Premier League Cup
The Gills development squad are in action again this evening when they take on Watford in the U21 Premier League Cup at Vicarage Road (7pm).Mark Patterson's side have enjoyed a good run in the competition having defeated Plymouth Argyle 1-0 at Priestfield before defeating Cardiff City by the same scoreline late last month in impressive fashion.
This evening's game will provide a stern test with Watford having beaten Bristol City in the previous round, but with Gills set to send a strong squad, they will fancy their chances of progressing further.
