We look ahead to Saturday's Sky Bet League One fixture between Rochdale and Gillingham at Spotland

ROCHDALE V GILLINGHAM
Sky Bet League One
Saturday October 18
Spotland
Kick-Off, 3pm

Team News:

Peter Taylor could welcome back Danny Kedwell to his match squad. The striker has been out for action for nearly two months following surgery on a knee injury, however Peter Taylor has let it be known that he will not start the game.

Aaron Morris (hamstring) and Doug Loft (suspended) miss out. Kortney Hause should be fine to play after returning from international duty.

As for Rochdale, Manager Keith Hill has no new injury concerns. However striker Jack Muldoon could make his first league appearance having got a brief workout in the JPT defeat to Walsall.

Goalkeeper Josh Lillis (ankle) is the only definite absentee, so Conrad Logan is set to continue between the sticks.

Manager Comments:

Peter Taylor says he knows Rochdale will present a tough challenge for his players, but is adamant if his side put in what they are capable of then they will be a match for anyone.

He said: “They are building and doing well and it’s a tough match, but if we perform like we can perform we are tough opposition aswell.

“We need to work extremely hard, we have been doing OK but we do need to learn from last Saturday.”

Keith Hill said: “I have respect for the [Gillingham] management team, Gillingham as a football club and the players that they’ve got – they were promoted a season earlier than we were. It’s going to be a difficult, difficult fixture.”
