Gills slip to a 2-0 defeat at Stevenage in the Youth League
Stevenage v Gillingham (League) – 19.08.14Although we lost 2-0 this was another good performance by my young team; two mistakes cost us the game but the effort was very good and with a little bit more quality in the final third we could of easily won the game.
We started the match playing with a 4-4-2 diamond formation but reverted to a 3-4-1-2 in the second half and really played well.
Defensively we looked solid and going forward we looked a threat, we conceded two goals just before half time through individual mistakes but overall another pleasing performance.
