Bryan Bull tells us about the magnificent facilities at Canterbury University.
Gillingham's Centre of Excellence boasts probably one of the best facilities used by a Youth Development programme in the Country at the state of the art "Pavilion" at the University of Kent at Canterbury.

The University has invested significant sums in the sporting facilities, that include a "Third Generation" artificial pitch and astro turf next to each other that the club use on their two training nights, together with grass pitches that are used on a Sunday morning for the under 9's to 14's fixtures against other league clubs.
Within the Pavilion there are twelve full sized changing rooms, each with en suite showering and toilet facilities, plus four changing rooms for officials, a medical room, meeting rooms, and a luxurious café' with balconies overlooking both the artificial and grass pitches.

Centre of Excellence Manager Bryan said: "The facilities on offer more than match anywhere we travel to, including venues such as the National Sports Centre at Bisham Abbey.

"They provide players, parents, and club staff with a base for our schoolboy programme that not only has excellent facilities, but is a pleasure to work at. Although the University is based at Canterbury it is worth the travel time to have use of such magnificent facilities."
In addition to the facilities used by the club there are also tennis courts, an ultra modern gymnasium, indoor sports hall and rugby and cricket pitches.
