Lee Johnson asks You have made some outstanding saves since joining the Gills are there any that stand out for you?

Probably away at Yeovil in the live televised game, I saved a header from Llloyd Owusu. Also in the game against Southend on Boxing Day, Charlie McDonald came through and I managed to block his shot.

Gary Harper asks Which former players helped you in your early career?

When I first signed a professional Paul Sansome taught me a lot. Then when I stepped up to the top level Tim Flowers helped me massively.

Jamie Fellows asks You won the Player Of The Year Award last season, who would you have voted for?

Simon King.Because of his never say die attitude, he puts his body on the line, he hardly missed a game last season and I think he's got a very bright future.

Lee Clifton asks David James plans to play until 40, would you like to?

Yes, I would but with the best will in the world I'm not sure my body will let me.

Simon Royce manages his defence

James Hawkins asks When you retire will you be retiring at Gillingham?

I'd love to yes

Simon Brant asks Do you have any plans for after your playing career?

I've just opened a real estate company in Portugal and I'd love to move there within the next five to seven years. I'm also thinking of taking my coaching badges just in case something comes up.

Pete Way asks were you always a keeper or did you fall into it accidentally?

I was stuck in goal when I was 9 years-old. I went along to my local kids football team in Maldon. They stuck me in goal and I've been there ever since, I wanted to be a Centre-Forward.

Michael Stone asks Did you hesitate at the decision to join Gillingham?

Not at all, after the three games I played on loan, I liked what I saw. It's a nice family club and that's what sold it to me.

Simon Royce claims a corner

Andy Hughes asks do you have a certain pre-match routine?

Yes, I always put my right boot and my right pad on first and I've always got a drinks bottle inside my right hand post.

David Harman asks Do you prefer a green jersey or something a bit jazzy?

I'm a little bit funny. I've started this season in a green jersey and I'll wear the same colour until we lose then I'd like to change it. The only reason I didn't change on Saturday was because the other keeper was wearing Yellow and I wasn't allowed to. In my early days I would have gone for a more jazzy style but as I got older I've had to tone it down a bit.

And what do you think of keepers in short sleeves?

Posers!

Keith Lennox asks In view of Mark McCammon's dismissal, do you think keepers got too much protection from Referees in the modern game?

Sometimes, yes. Obviously, from a biased point of view I thought it was just a yellow card. If it had happened to me I would have been surprised if the centre-forward had been shown a red card. So at certain times, yes I would agree we get a lot of protection

Louisa Long asks Do you think that goal line technology will help the game?

Yes, without a doubt.

Tracey Nowell asks how does your training differ from the other players? Is it as strict on fitness?

It's nowhere near. Obviously being a keeper its different anyway but also with me being in the latter stages of my career I don't tend to have to train every day because it's more about keeping my body right for matches.I don't tend to train on Sunday and Monday, train Tuesday, then Wednesday off, train Thursday, Friday and play on Saturday.

Andy Major asks I see you are a keen Fisherman what's your best catch as an angler?

I've had two carp that were both 59 pounds in France

...and as a keeper?

(Laughs) Probably in a pre-season friendly about seven years ago,we played Portsmouth. I came out and caught one above Peter Crouch's head and that's no mean feat as he's 6 foot 7

Jess Wiseman asks The back pass rule was introduced early in your career how difficult was it to adapt?

It wasn't too bad to be fair. I wasn't bad with the ball at my feet in my early days at Charlton. There were four goalkeepers at Charlton at the time so I used to play outfield quite a lot in training. So it wasn't too bad for me but some keepers have struggled.

Simon Royce lines up his wall

Rob Priddle asks Any advice for up and coming keepers?

Make sure you listen to what other people are telling you, especially if they've been there, done it and played a lot of games. Whatever they say is only meant to help and not meant as a hindrance.

Ed Lindsay asks If you could change any existing rule of the game or introduce one what would it be?

I'd probably change the offside rule, it needs to be made less complicated.

Lawrence Priddle asks What's the biggest ground you've played at and what's it like playing front of a big crowd?

That would be Old Trafford in front of 67,000 people. The atmosphere wasn't great because we kept them quiet for 90 minutes, then they scored in the 90th. It is fantastic to walk out at these massive Premiership grounds. I'm a Tottenham supporter and I've played at White Hart Lane. I'm not being biased, but I think the Lane has the best atmosphere and that's why every player strives to play at that level.

Steve Wainwright asks what would you be doing if you weren't a professional footballer?

Probably fishing every day
