Gills Ladies breezed past their opponents and into round two of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon at Martin Grove.
Danielle Farmer set the Gills on their way early in the first half before Natalie Crinean made it two and Vicky Ashton-Jones added one on the stroke of half time.
The second half was much the same as the first with the Gills easily dominating. Ashlee Hincks scored a brace after finding her shooting boots and Natalie Crinean scored her second late on.
Yet again the Gills defence was untroubled as Katie Duffy in goal was a spectator from start to finish making no saves whatsoever.
Manager Ian Varley stuck with the side that has seen his side move to the top of the League. New signing Laura East had to settle for a place on the bench.
The Gills were on the attack from the off as they took the game to their opponents. It was Ashlee Hincks who sprung the offside trap after three minutes only to blaze her shot high and wide. This was a sign of things to come for Oxford City.
After five minutes Ashlee Hincks swung in a corner that fell to Danni Farmer she hit a shot that was well saved by the impressive Hannah Cox in the Oxford City goal.
Three minutes later and the Gills could have gone 1-0 up when Natalie Crinean was played in over the top her shot was well saved. Ashlee Hincks followed up the rebound but slotted just wide of the goal as she looked to find her range.
It took the Gills just 13 minutes to go ahead when Natalie Crinean slotted in Danni Farmer and she hit a superb shot into the top corner to make it 1-0.
The only effort that the visitors could muster in the opening stages was a rash shot from Steph Kubat who blazed high over Katie Duffy's cross bar.
In the 16th minute Ashlee Hincks played a superb ball to Vicky Ashton-Jones who then put a cross into the area. Natalie Crinean was the first to react to the ball and riffled a shot that was well saved by Hannah Cox once more.
The Gills made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute when Les Kay played the ball to Ashlee Hincks; she sprinted down the left wing, cut inside and beat two defenders. She then found Natalie Crinean who tapped home past the keeper to make it 2-0.
Deanna Cooper played in Ashlee Hincks with a deft little ball over the top. Ash picked it up and went one on one with the keeper, everyone was willing her to slot it into the net but she hit her shot straight at the keeper.
A corner wasn't dealt with by the Oxford City defence in the 25th minute and the ball fell to Deanna Cooper. She hit one shot straight at the keeper then her second attempt was blocked by a defender. The loose ball then fell to Becky Lyon, the centre half turning like a centre forward and hitting a snap shot that had a defender sliding in to clear off the line.
As the first half drew to a close the Gills won yet another corner. Ashlee Hincks swung the ball in and Captain Becky Lyon rose highest to meet the corner but her header went just over the cross bar.
In the 41st minute Vicky Ashton-Jones had two glorious chances to add to the Gills tally but on both occasions hit her shot straight at the keeper.
Just one minute later and the Gills went 3-0 up when Ashlee Hincks made a great down the left wing and cut inside before firing a cross into the box. The cross found Vicky Ashton-Jones at the far post and she calmly slotted home.
Half Time 3-0
The Gills came out of the blocks in the second half looking to extend their lead and put the game beyond any further doubt.
Just two minutes into the second half and the dangerous Ashlee Hincks played a ball over the top that found Vicky Ashton-Jones. She was one on one with the goalkeeper and fired her shot straight at Hannah Cox.
A minute later and Ashton-Jones turned provider as she found skipper Becky Lyon in the area, who stayed up after a corner. She turned again and hit a shot that was tipped around the post again by the keeper.
In the 51st minute the game was beyond any doubt when Ashlee Hincks made it 4-0. Natalie Crinean made space for herself wide on the right and she picked out Ashlee Hincks. She had too much pace for the two centre halves and rounded the on rushing goalkeeper to slot into an empty net.
Just after the hour mark Natalie Crinean had two chances to extend the Gills lead further. Vicky Ashton-Jones picked her out and she hit her first shot that crashed back to her off the defender, before blazing her second over the bar.
Two minutes later and it was 5-0. Vicky Ashton-Jones turned provider again as she picked out Ashlee Hincks with a cross. She unleashed a shot that smashed off the cross bar and came out and Danielle Farmer slotted home. The linesman subsequently said that Hincks' shot had crossed the line and the goal is credited to the impressive wide player.
In the 71st minute Natalie Crinean was taken out on the edge of the area, the referee had no choice but to award the free kick. Danni Farmer and Ashlee Hincks both stood over the ball but it was the central midfielder who stepped up but hit her shot over the cross bar.
In the 77th minute new signing Laura Ellis with a cross that found Ashlee Hincks in the area but she couldn't keep her shot down, as it went high over the bar.
Just two minutes later the new signing signalled her attacking intent as she got on the end of Ashton-Jones cross but her shot went just wide of the near post.
The Oxford City keeper saved her best save until the 85th minute when Natalie Crinean hit a shot from fully 18 yards. The keeper dived full stretch to her right hand side and palmed the ball away.
In the 86th minute Danni Farmer thought she had scored her second goal of the game only for the linesman to rule it out for offside.
Natalie Crinean picked her out in the area and she did all the hard work and slotted home past the keeper only to see the linesman's flag raised.
There was still time for the Gills to grab a sixth goal of the game in the 89th minute. Jodie Mugford a second half substitute slotted in Crinean, she then rounded the defender and calmly slotted home.
