After the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth, Mark Stimson was in buoyant mood at the Gills impressive showing, "We looked the better side, we played some fantastic football and if we can create as many chances over the next 45 games we're going to score a lot of goals. If I'm honest I think we should have won it but it's a good point."

The Gills Manager was particularly pleased with his new striking partnership "I thought Simeon and Mark McCammon linked up superbly today and, if anything, Mark looked stronger as the game went on. Simeon was unlucky today but if he can do that all season he'll score a lot of goals at this level."

Stimson also explained the thinking behind his inspired late substitution, "With Gary  Mulligan being more of a finisher than Adam Miller I thought he might just be in the right place at the right time. It was a good pull back from Tyrone Berry and a fantastic finish from Gary. He's been carrying an injury lately and that will do him the power of good."

Finally Stimson reserved special praise for the Gills travelling support, "The amount of supporters we had here today was absolutely phenomenal. They deserved something to cheer about because they backed us throughout the game and it was great to see the players run over and celebrate with them when the goal went in."
