"We Know It's Going To Be Difficult." Says Jepson
With last Saturday's game falling foul to the cold weather Gills go into the game after a two-week break. Jepson is boosted by the return of Matt Jarvis from injury but has a real selection headache up front with both Darren Byfield and Neil Harris suspended for the match.
On team matters Jepson said: "We have got one or two back fitness wise, like Matty Jarvis and Alan Pouton but they are lacking in match practice.
"The reserve game was called off yesterday which was disappointing because I was going to play one or two of the lads to get a bit of match practice in.
"But we have had a good week's training and we are looking forward to the game.
"Matty is in contention and he gives us a different dimension to the team with his pace and trickery. I think we have lacked that at times since he's been out so it's good to have him back on board.
"We're missing Darren Byfield and Neil Harris though, because of suspensions, so we will have to shuffle it around a bit."
Jepson knows that Forest will be a tough nut to crack having had them watched against Swindon Town - a game he wished he didn't have a report for.
"We had a scout there against Swindon and I wish we'd never sent one now," he said. The report came back and the weaknesses column was blank and the strengths column was quite full.
"Forest have been able to spend and they have good qualities in there side. We know it's going to be difficult but we should look forward to these games. We have got to go there and match them; they play at a high tempo and have good players in the team.
"I think though, on our day, we can match them and hopefully the lads are up for the challenge and relishing going there. It's a great surface to play on and there will be a big crowd. It's a big challenge for the players and one I'm hoping they are looking forward to."
