Gillingham Manager Ronnie Jepson hopes his side can continue their winning run when they take on Swansea City at Priestfield on Saturday.

The Gills go into the match on the back of successive wins and Jepson knows his side will face a difficult task, against a very good Swansea City side, to keep that run going, he said: "It is nice to get back-to-back wins, which can be difficult to do at times in this league. Hopefully we Ronnie Jepsoncan go on from there but we are playing a game this weekend against a team, who according to the reports from our scouts, are the best team we have seen. It is going to be a very difficult game.

"Last season, we got a good victory at Swansea and then a nice victory here so hopefully it will be the same again. We know from having watched them in their last two games that they are a very powerful side. They have made a few additions from last season.

"They are physical, they play at a high tempo, they move the ball around, have good runners from midfield and they have great strength upfront with the likes of Adebayo Akinfenwa, Rory Fallon, Lee Trundle and Leon Knight, who are all great strikers. They play it in the right manner and it will be a difficult game."

Jepson faces a selection dilemma with Danny Jackman returning to the squad after the left-back missed the victory over Millwall due to suspension but the Manager also has injury concerns with one or two players: "Danny Jackman has done well all season and Clint Easton has shown me what he can do. I knew all about Clint and that is why I signed him. He comes from a good stock and has been at good football clubs and knows the game so he gives us another option.

Ronnie Jepson"Brent Sancho is looking at being out for six weeks. That is a blow for us because he has been an integral part of the team this season. He has been very influential, has played with a great attitude and he will be missed.

"Leon Johnson did well at Doncaster and again on Tuesday night against Millwall. I thought he coped with Darren Byfield quite well. The lads that come into the team, it is up to them to stake a claim for the shirt. What I have said to the lads is that the squad I have got, and hopefully I can add to it, that we stick together whether you are the last man or sub or whatever and dig deep and away we go.

"We have got one or two knocks and them players are having treatment with Simon Webster. One or two players are in the hydropool this morning and they won't be fit to come down the training ground today so there could be a couple of changes for Saturday. We will give the lads until tomorrow, like we always do, and see what the recovery is.

"Nobody is guaranteed the shirt, only the goalkeeper! Whatever team I put out, they will have a proper go and hopefully we can get something out of it. I know the lads and they have got to have gained confidence from the last two matches and that has given them a lift. Whatever my staff or I say, there is nothing like winning games to give you a boost and that inner-belief that you need as a football player."

The Manager revealed that continuous hard work on the training ground has seen the team get their rewards but Jepson is still looking to add to the squad: "We work on team play and on the opposition down the training ground. We try to keep a smile on the players faces but work extremely hard. Even in the defeats this season, there have been some positives. Take the Scunthorpe game, it was incredible we were losing two-nil at half-time but there you go. We took the positives out of it and have tried to eradicate a thing or two in certain areas of the pitch. Hopefully we can go on and get a few more points on the board.

"We have been trying to get one or two more bodies in this week. Nothing has come to fruition but something might happen on that front. I have been looking for a centre-half since the start of the season. I tried for a couple in pre-season to add a bit more strength and competition to the squad. I could do with another striker, another wide-man and obviously another goalkeeper to add a bit more competition but also to cover us when we have injuries and suspensions, which you will get throughout the season."
