Gillingham will be hoping to extend their current unbeaten run this Saturday when they face Walsall at krbs Priestfield Stadium, kick-off 3.00pm.

TEAM NEWS - GILLINGHAM

Gillingham's lengthy injury problems are finally starting to ease, Josh Gowling (groin) should return after missing the midweek trip to Hartlepool, while Curtis Weston (hip) and Danny Jackman (shoulder) are also in contention for a place in the squad.

The Gills reported no new injuries after the trip to Victoria Park so the only definite absentee is Simon King (ankle ligaments). The centre-half has returned from rehabilitation at Lilleshall and is hoping to get the all clear to resume jogging when he visits his specialist next week.

CURRENT FORM:

Mark Stimson's men are unbeaten in both of their previous two league outings, though a brace of draws leaves the Gills sitting 19th in the table. The match ended all square, 0-0, when the two sides met at the Bescot Stadium earlier in the season and Gillingham will fancy their chances of taking something from the game.

Captain Mark Hughes is a doubt for the Saddlers, the midfielder injured his ankle in the recent clash with Brighton and missed Tuesday night's defeat to Norwich City.

Striker Steve Jones has been struggling with a niggling groin injury and could also miss out on the travelling squad. 

CURRENT FORM:

Tuesday night's 1-2 home defeat against Norwich means the Saddlers have failed to record a win in their last six outings, collecting five defeats and only one draw since the end of November. Chris Hutchings team are currently 12th in League One but have a decent away record this season with four wins, two draws and five defeats on the road in 2009/10.
