TEAM NEWS
The Gillingham squad for Saturday will by much the same as that which travelled to Hereford last weekend. The one addition is midfielder Curtis Weston who has recovered from a thigh injury. Andy Hessenthaler does however envisage having skipper Barry Fuller and strike pair Mark McCammon and Cody McDonald back in training on Monday and in contention for the trip to Morecambe next weekend.
Imps boss Chris Sutton is hoping to be able to draft new signing Ben Hutchinson straight into his squad for the game on Saturday, depending on the paperwork being completed. The young striker, who will wear the no. 27 shirt, has joined on a season-long loan deal from Scottish giants Celtic. Ex-Gills Delroy Facey and Albert Jarrett are expected to be in the travelling squad.
LAST WEEK
While the Gills were picking up a second point of the season from their goalless draw at Hereford, City were slipping to a second defeat, 2-0 at home to Torquay. This result saw Lincoln finish the day bottom of the League Two table.
WE'VE MET BEFORE
The two clubs last met back in the 2008-09 season when Lincoln completed a 'double' over Gillingham. Lee Frecklington and Dany N'Guessan were on target for City in their October victory at Sincil Bank then N'Guessan scored again, a 90th minute winner here at Priestfield late in January. That followed veteran striker Geoff Horsfield's excellent effort that had wiped out the lead Simeon Jackson had given the Gills from a 25th minute penalty.
Gillingham: Royce, Lewis, Richards, Bentley, Nutter, Southall, Weston, Miller, Barcham, Jackson, Oli. Unused Subs: Mulligan, Julian, Cumbers, Steer, Peters.
Lincoln: Burch, Beevers, Sinclair, Kovacs, Brown, Kerr, Clarke, Frecklington (Oakes 23), N'Guessan, Horsfield (Patulea 83), Elding (John-Lewis 72). Unused Subs: Duffy, Swaibu.
