Gillingham stretch their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions with an injury time Simeon Jackson equaliser

Mark Stimson kept faith with the same starting eleven that triumphed in midweek at Edgeley Park with Andy Barcham shaking off a midweek illness to retain his place.

With torrential rain forming puddles on the pitch, the conditions were far from ideal for either team, Gillingham did find the net in the 13th minute with Simeon Jackson firing home from just outside the area but the Canadian forward's effort was ruled offside.

Ten minutes later Barnet spurned a great opening when Max Porter's curling cross found Albert Adomah unmarked in the area but the big No.7 headed wide from close range.

Shortly after Andy Barcham made space for himself down the left, he nutmegged his marker before floating a cross into the near post but Rob Beckwith gathered comfortably ahead of Simeon Jackson.

On the half hour Albert Jarrett wrong footed Nicky Nicolau with a cute back heel and crossed for Simeon Jackson but he headed well wide of the far post

Gillingham's best effort of the half came in the 33rd minute when Albert Jarrett played in Jackson who let fly with a low effort but Beckwith was able to hold it at his feet

Seconds later Andy Barcham's blocked shot fell to John Nutter who forced a fine save from Beckwith with a sweet drive from distance.

Nutter was involved again in the 37th minute after collecting a loose ball in the centre circle, he powererd forward before feeding Barcham who crossed for Jackson to hit the upright from point blank range.

In the 43rd minute a superb pass from Adam Miller sent Jackson clear in front of goal but keeper Beckwith came to Barnet's rescue with a fine reaction save.

On the stroke of half time the home side had a rare sight of goal with Max Porter firing through a forest of legs but Simon Royce got down well to save at his far post to send both sides in all square at half time.

Barnet stunned the Gills by scoring just 12 seconds after the re-start, Micheal Leary found space in midfield and fired into bottom right hand corner from 25 yards.

In the 52nd minute Barry Fuller's quickly taken free kick sent Jarrett away on the right but his low cross was well held by Beckwith at his near post.

Five minutes later the Gills went close again when Adam Miller won the ball just inside the Barnet half and weaved a path through the home defence before firing wide of the far post

Andy Barcham equalised for the Gills in spectacular fashion in the 68th minute, he picked up the ball in midfield and took on the Bees defence, then after seeing his initial effort blocked he drove a powerful strike into the far corner much to the delight of the massed ranks of visiting supporters.

Their joy was short lived as Barnet reclaimed the lead just two minutes later, Nicky Deverdics crossing into the six yard box and John O'Flynn heading home from close range.

In the last minute of normal time Gillingham missed a golden opportunity to level the scores. Adam Miller played Gary Mulligan in behind the home defence but the Irish striker fired wide with only the keeper to beat.

Just as it seemed the Gills were destined for defeat Simeon Jackson grabbed a 92nd minute equaliser. Garry Richards long throw was flicked on by sub Gary Mulligan and Jackson lifted his shot over the keeper to steal a precious point.
