After missing the entire 2007/08 season through injury, winger Albert Jarrett is delighted to be back in the game with Gillingham, "I missed the whole of last season with a knee injury. Gillingham have given me a fantastic opportunity to start again and I am looking to grab that chance with both hands."

"I've only signed for a month so far but hopefully I can impress during that time and become a part of the Gaffer's plans for the foreseeable future. I've been working hard in training and doing extras to improve my fitness. I played two 90 minute matches for the reserves so that has helped me. Slowly but surely, I will improve my match fitness and hopefully I get to start a game soon and show the fans what I can do and cement a place in the team.

"It's a good setup at the club, the lads are quality here and they have made me feel right at home. The Training is good and The Gaffer has ideas that he gets across to the lads so I believe that they can get promotion this year. That is the minimum. Anything less than that this year and it will be a disappointing season."

So what can supporters expect to see from the Jarrett, "Everybody saw my natural game on Saturday. I like to get out wide, get crosses into the box and help the team as much as possible. I want to give the opposition and especially their defence, some problems. Pressuring defenders, that is my game."

"I like to get quick balls into the box and strikers like that as it doesn't give the defenders a chance to settle like it can when crosses are floated in. Soft balls don't help the strikers so if you can get the ball in behind the defenders, that's bread and butter for the strikers and hopefully they can get some goals."
