GILLS PREPARE FOR FAVERSHAM
Gillingham have made an encouraging start to their pre season campaign with impressive wins over Folkestone Invicta and Dartford. The Gills will hope to make it three wins on the trot when they take on Faversham Town on Thursday night.
The match will be played at Faversham's home ground Salters Lane. Mark Stimson plans on using the same format as in the previous pre-season friendlies, by having a different team out for each half. "We went there last year and put a great display on. It will be two teams, the boys will train for an hour before the match then everyone will come out and play for 45 minutes".
Faversham may be a Kent league side but Stimson is not planning on taking this next friendly lightly. "We are mentally prepared for every game, sometimes playing against lesser oppositions is harder because you might just ease off the gas and if you do ease off the gas people playing against big sides will want to impress".
Gillingham vs. Faversham Town is to be played on Thursday 16th July at Salters Lane. Kick off is at 7.45pm and match prices for Adults is £5 and Children is £1.
