KEITH ALEXANDER TRIBUTE MATCH
Lincoln City FC are inviting supporters from throughout the Football family to help them celebrate the life of Keith Alexander at their League Two match with Hereford United at Sincil Bank this Friday, March 12th.
The match will give supporters the chance to pay tribute to former manager Keith Alexander, who sadly passed away at the age of 53 last week.
Fans will also have the opportunity to get a glimpse of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy, which will be visiting Sincil Bank as part of the worldwide Coca-Cola Trophy Tour.
To supplement the evening's programme of events, a giant screen will be installed in the corner of the Stacey West Stand and the Echo Stand and during the course of the pre-match build-up, some memorable moments from Keith's career with the Imps will be broadcast.
Turnstiles will open at 6.30pm and following the pre-match entertainment, which will start at approximately 7.00pm, and the parading of the World Cup™ Trophy by 1966 winner Martin Peters, a minute's applause for Keith will take place before the game against Hereford kicks-off.
With reserved seating arrangements being in operation, supporters are advised to purchase tickets in advance of the game in order to avoid disappointment and unnecessary queuing on the night of the game.
The invitation to share in the celebration of Keith's life is also open to all football fans with a special 'neutral zone' being in operation for supporters of any club to come along and pay their respects.
Those in the neutral zone will also have a chance of having their photo taken with the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy with a unique numbered voucher being given out on the turnstiles at the game.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.redimps.com/tickets or in person at the Sincil Bank ticket office between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Alternatively, call the ticket office during working hours on (01522) 880011
