There has been plenty of news involving former Gillingham players in the last week or so..... once again both good and bad.
Former Gills captain Andrew Crofts scored his second goal of the season for his new club Norwich City which earned the Canaries a point in their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Patrick Agyemang, who scored eight goals in 34 appearances for the Gills after his £150,000 signing in January 2004, was on target for QPR at the weekend. His goal started the comeback for Neil Warnock's side, who netted twice in stoppage time, which earned Rangers a point and kept them top of the Championship table.
An unlikely goalscorer on Saturday was former West Ham loanee Matt Fry (pictured). The defender, making his debut for Charlton as an 88th minute substitute in his second spell at the Valley, broke through a couple of challenges and fired in a long-range effort that was deflected past Huddersfield keeper Alex Smithies.
Former Gills reserve team striker Scott McGleish took advantage of a mix-up in the Exeter City rearguard to slot home Leyton Orient's second in a 3-0 home win.
Albert Jarrett, a star as Lincoln won on his return here at Priestfield, lashed home a fine shot from outside the area to gain the Imps a point at home to Crewe.
Former loan striker Rene Howe has started to show his class during his five month loan spell at Blue Square Bet Premier side Rushden & Diamonds. He opened his account in midweek with a terrific 25-yarder against AFC Wimbledon and added another in Saturday's 4-1 victory over much-fancied Grimsby Town.
There were plenty of other former Gillingham players in scoring form. Moses Ashikodi and former trialist Serge Makofo were both on target for Kettering Town. Ashikodi netted in last week's 1-1 draw at Mansfield while Makofo was on the mark in the Poppies 3-0 weekend win over Histon.
Leroy Griffiths scored once again for Staines Town in their 2-2 midweek draw with St Albans City in the Blue Square Bet South also on target that night were Luis Cumbers (2) and Andy Pugh as Welling United beat Chelmsford City 3-2.

Tommy Black
In the Ryman Premier League, Tommy Black won and converted a 15th minute penalty for AFC Hornchurch at Kingstonian. The K's hit back to win 2-1 with another former trialist Carl Wilson-Denis netting the winner. Frannie Collin notched a late consolation for Tonbridge Angels in a 2-1 home defeat by Harrow Borough. Former Gills youth team midfielder Darren Marsden was another to score but unable to prevent defeat for his team. He cracked home a 25-yarder to put Margate ahead but Lowestoft hit back to take the points.
In the Ryman Division One (South) last Tuesday, Kevin James struck for Dulwich Hamlet as they beat Whitstable Town 2-0.

Darren Anderson
An update from last week is the good news that Mamady Sidibe had a successful operation on his Achilles injury and it is hoped that he may return to action around Christmas and not miss the remainder of the season as first feared.
Darren Byfield has been named as captain of League One Walsall for the season. The 33-year-old is currently injured however and has missed the Saddlers last two games with an Achilles injury.
Sean Clohessy was one of two ex-Gills that were sent off at the weekend. He was dismissed in the 76th minute of Southend's victory at Bradford City on Friday night and the right-back now misses the Johnstone Paints Trophy re-union with his former Priestfield team-mates at Roots Hall on Tuesday.
The other player to see red was Farnborough striker Dean McDonald who was sent-off in the ill-tempered local derby at Basingstoke.
Meanwhile Marlon King is reported to have started training with Coventry City and it is believed that the Sky Blues are closing in on a deal. The disgraced striker left prison in July having completed half of his 18-month sentence - following a conviction for sexual assault. King, who has 13 other convictions to his name, has always pleaded his innocence.
The 30-year-old , who was sacked by Wigan following the allegations, has previously played for City boss Aidy Boothroyd and was at the Ricoh Arena for the recent game with Derby.
