The officials have been named for Saturday's League Two fixture with Bury and West Yorkshire referee Jonathan Moss will take charge of the tie at Gigg Lane.
Moss started his refereeing career in 1988 in local league football and was fast-tracked to the National List of Assistant Referees in 2003. Two years later he was promoted to the National List of Referees and is now in his sixth season in the middle.
He has taken charge of two Gills fixtures in those six seasons, a 2-2 draw at Brentford in October 2006 which boiled-over in the first half, after keeper Clark Masters brought down Gary Mulligan on route to goal. The Bees custodian was duly red-carded, leaving defender John Mousinho to take-up the keeper's jersey, but despite Mike Flynn converting the penalty, and netting again in the second half, Ronnie Jepson's side could not capitalize on their one-man advantage.
Moss' second fixture saw the Yorkshire referee visit Priestfield to take charge of last season's derby clash with Charlton, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Six yellow cards were issued in a keenly contested encounter which saw Simeon Jackson earn the Gills a late point, cancelling out an earlier own-goal from John Nutter.
This season Moss has officiated at four fixtures, two in the Championship, one at League One level, and the Carling Cup Second Round tie between Blackburn and Norwich City. He sent-off Claude Davis and Andros Townsend in Ipswich's recent 2-1 win at Crystal Palace and flourished the red again at the weekend, dismissing Carl Baker in Coventry's defeat to Millwall.
