Another exhilarating month of action in npower League 2 has come to a close with the division's outstanding players today being rewarded with nominations for the npower League 2 Player of the Month award for September.

Bury frontman Ryan Lowe is amongst the nominees after scoring 4 goals in September. Included in these was a stoppage time equaliser against Hereford United which earned his side a valuable point.Lowe's goals have helped his side climb into the play-off places and few would bet against the experienced striker continuing this form through the season.
Marc Richards is another player who has been in fine goal scoring form, firing Port Vale to the top of npower League 2. Richards netted 4 times in September including a double at Macclesfield Town which secured his side an important victory. Richards has been rewarded for his performances with nomination for the September award.
Stockport County youngster George Donnely is also amongst the nominees after a string of fine performances in September. Donnelly found the back of the net 4 times including a fantastic winner away at Oxford United.
Chesterfield forward Craig Davies completes the line up of nominees for September's award.The pacey striker fired in 4 goals during the month including an important winner against Northampton Town which has saw his side climb up to second place in the npower League 2 table.
The award will be debated by the expert npower Player of the Month panel, which comprises of SKY Sports' npower Football League analyst Peter Beagrie, Mark Clemmit of BBC One's The Football League Show, John Nagle representing The Football League and npower Head of Sponsorship, Emma Collins.
The winning player will be announced on Thursday 7th October and presented with the new npower Championship Player of the Month trophy.
