Gillingham goalkeeper Jason Brown has today joined Premiership club Blackburn Rovers on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old Welsh international signed a four-year deal with Mark Hughes' side earlier today.
Brown, who joined the Gills on a free transfer in March 2001, made 137 appearances in all competitions for the Gills.
He was out of contract at the club and terms could not be reached on a new deal. He seemed certain to join Swansea City until Rovers swooped and captured their man today.
When Brown was released as a trainee from Charlton Athletic in 2000, he admitted his future could have been away from football and was ready to start work cleaning bus shelters.
Gillingham handed him his chance to make the grade in professional football though and last month, just days after winning Gillingham's 2005-06 Player of the Year, he made his full Welsh debut as Wales won 2-1 against Trinidad & Tobago.
The Club would like to thank Jason for his services to Gillingham and wish him all the best for the future.
