Oli: "I just want to be out on that pitch."
Oli was Mark Stimson's first signing for the Gills and the winger is thoroughly enjoying his time at the KRBS Priestfield Stadium: "It's going really well and I've settled in very well. The football is as I thought; yes, it is going well. The injury I picked up against
"The hamstring injury was so frustrating for me. That is the hardest thing because you just want to be out there with the boys. Some of the results haven't gone our way of late but we have been working very hard in training. I think in the near future, there will be a few results going our way.
"The biggest difference between League One and the Conference is the quality. With that I mean in the teams, there are more quality players in each team. No disrespect to the Conference but individually in League One, there will be about five or six quality players in each team rather than one or two."
Oli has played in several different positions so far for the Gills and admits he is happy to play anywhere: "I do like playing on the wing as I can open up my legs. We do a lot of weights with the Fitness Coach, Danny Ellis. That is very good for explosive power which helps with my acceleration. That is helping me and will be beneficial in my game. I don't really mind at all where I play. I'll play anywhere, I just want to be out on that pitch with the boys. Whether it is up front, on the left wing or the right win, it does not matter to me."
With 17 games of the season remaining, Oli believes the Gills are more than capable of a top-half finish: "Hopefully we can get into the top-half of the table. If we can get on a decent run of results, there is an outside chance that we could make the play-offs. We have to start getting a lot more wins especially at home as we haven't won here for a while. We are capable of putting a run together and I think we will do it and hopefully I am part of that team."
