Gillingham Football Club is in talks with Medway Council's Transport Department.

Recent research published by the Football League indicates that Gillingham supporters' biggest concern surrounds transport to and from games and the difficulty of parking in the area surrounding the krbs Priestfield Stadium.

The club is committed to offering a major park and ride scheme for next season and is also looking to establish bus pick up points in the surrounding towns.

Gillingham F.C. is looking to talk to all of the bus companies in the Medway and Kent area to facilitate this scheme.

Phil Filmer, Medway Council's Portfolio Holder for Front Line Services said; "We welcome this initiative from Gillingham Football Club as we are aware that supporters' parking can be as much of a concern for residents as it is for the supporters themselves.

The council would be pleased to offer any advice it can to assist the Club in achieving this new facility."
