Mark Stimson today landed the Premiership loan signing he has been chasing for several weeks as Manchester United striker Febian Brandy put pen to paper on a three month loan deal.
The 20-year old forward is highly rated at Old Trafford and has been a regular in United's reserve side in recent seasons. He has also scored twice in four appearances for England's Under-20 team.
Whilst on loan he helped Swansea City to the League One title in 2007/08 scoring three goals in 19 appearances for the Swans. Last season saw the youngster on loan with Hereford United where Brandy netted four goals in 15 league starts for the Edgar Street outfit, making him the Bulls leading scorer in 2008/09.
A diminutive attacker, Brandy's principal threat comes from his pace and agility. He loves to run at defenders and is sure to deliver some fireworks during his time at krbs Priestfield.
He will join the Gills for training tomorrow morning and has been given permission by the Manchester giants to make his debut against Southend United in the FA Cup first round tie this weekend.
The terms of his loan will keep Febian at Gillingham until mid-January making him available to play in all games up to and including the League One trip to Swindon Town on January 16th.
