JACKSON EARNS CANADA CALL UP

Posted on: Thu 07 Oct 2010

Gillingham's star striker Simeon Jackson has been named in Stephen Hart's squad for Canada's upcoming international fixtures.

Canada face a mouth-watering friendly against Diego Maradona's World Cup bound Argentina in Buenos Aires on May 24th. Then move on to Merida where they will take on Venezuela, just five days later.

Jackson will be hoping to add to his tally of one goal in eight appearances for Canada. A brace of caps this month would leave him just two behind Welsh international midfielder Andrew Crofts, whose 12 international appearances are a record total for a Gillingham player.
