A creative midfielder, Curtis Weston signed a two-year deal at the Gills in September 2008 following an initial one month loan from Leeds United.
Weston can operate on the right or centre of midfield and holds the record for the youngest player to appear in an FA Cup Final, having come on as a substitute for Millwall in the 2004 FA Cup Final against Manchester United. He began his career at Millwall and has also represented Swindon Town.
Curtis made his Gillingham debut in the 1-1 away draw at Bournemouth and quickly became a permanent fixture in the midfield. He scored five goals in 52 league and cup appearances, with each goal being as spectacular as the last
His 25 yard volley against Shrewsbury at krbs Priestfield was voted the Goal of the Season 2008/09 and Curtis also finished third in the poll with a stunning drive from distance against Wycombe.
Prior to the start of the 2009/10 season he agreed a contract extension that will tie him to the Gills until 2011/12 and has been in sparkling form in front of goal equally last season's tally of five goals with the first in a 3-0 defeat of Southend in FA Cup Round One.
