Rashid, or "Toks" as he is more commonly known is a former England Youth international and graduate of the Charlton Athletic youth academy.
The left-sided midfielder was awarded a professional deal at the Valley in 2008/09 but left the club in May in search of first team opportunities.
Yussuff made a big impact at Priestfield during a month's trial in pre-season and signed a one year contract with the club at the beginning of August.
He made his debut for the Gills as a second half sub in the 5-0 win over Swindon Town on the opening day of the season and made his first full appearance for the club in the 1-1 draw at Exeter in December.
