Centre Forward Charlie is the son of Gills Manager Mark Stimson and was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne during his father's spell as a player with the Toon Army.

He signed apprentice forms with Gillingham in July 2008 and has impressed in the youth team with his unselfish hold up play.

Stimson Junior finished last season as a regular in the Reserve squad and was also named among the substitutes for the Gills FA Cup clash with Aston Villa.
