Powerful centre forward Jacob Erskine put pen to paper on a one year deal with Gillingham days before the start of the 2009/10 season.
He caught the eye of Manager Mark Stimson with an impressive performance against the Gills for Bromley in a pre-season friendly in which he was a constant handful for the visitors back four.
A target man with a keen eye for goal, Jacob has also featured for Dagenham & Redbridge, Margate and Maidstone United. He made his Gillingham debut as a late second half substitute in the opening day win over Swindon Town.
After a handful of appearances for the first team and reserves he was loaned back to Blue Square South side Bromley to gain valuable experience.
