Paulo Gazzaniga became Andy Hessenthaler's ninth summer signing of 2011 when the highly rated Argentine keeper put pen to paper on a two year contract with the Gills, having been recommended to the club by Hess's former Watford team mate Gary Penrice

The 19 year-old, 6 ft 5 inch shot-stopper had been on trial at Priestfield since being released by Spanish giants Valencia at the end of last season impressed during pre-season but had to wait until the visit of Barnet in the Johnstone Paints Trophy in October before making his debut.

An injury to Ross Flitney in the early part of 2012 has seen Paulo get a run in the side and his performances since have attracted the attentions of numerous scouts.
