The young midfielder joined the Gills from Tottenham Hotspur’s Foundation College Programme in May 2015 having impressed sufficiently during a handful of development matches towards the end of the 2014/15 campaign.

He was recommended to Justin Edinburgh by David Kerslake, who soon after was appointed the club’s assistant manager following the departure of Andy Hessenthaler.

Osadebe made his debut against Sheffield United on August 8, 2015 in a 4-0 win, earning the Man of the Match prize in his first game in professional football.

A pacey winger, the Irishman used his speed to score a fine solo effort against Bury in November 2015, one that was voted the club's Goal of the Season for the 2015/16 campaign.

Nicknamed Paddy, Osadebe signed a new one-year contract with the club in June 2016.
