Bond joined the Gills on loan from Reading on August 26, and made his debut in the club’s 3-2 victory at Shrewsbury Town the following day.
He came through Watford’s academy system and made his debut for the Hornets against Portsmouth in a Championship fixture on January 2, 2012. He made a total of 33 appearances for the Hertfordshire club, including their FA Cup fixture against Manchester City in 2013.
During his time at Vicarage Road, he gained league experience with Dagenham & Redbridge (five appearances between February and March 2012), and Bury (six appearances from April to May 2012).
He joined Reading on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee in July 2015, and made 14 appearances for them in the Championship last season.
Bond, who previously represented Wales, has been capped at England under-20 and 21 level (two and five caps respectively).
His loan deal currently runs until the start of January.
