Over 500 of you have joined us at our football sessions across the county so far this summer.
Our Gills Soccer Schools are running across Kent throughout the summer holidays, and we're already over half-way through our 60 summer sessions. There are over 550 spaces gone at our remaining venues too, with places filling up fast!
For the participants who have joined us so far, there have been plenty of new skills and drills learnt, fun football challenges conquered, and lots talent on show across the county.
The Gills first team squad have also been getting involved in the football fun. Striker Greg Cundle and midfielder Elliott List visited our Strood session earlier this month to give some advice to the young players, while new summer signing Alex Lacey joined in the fun at our Faversham Strike Force FC venue.
Striker Liam Nash and midfielder Ben Chapman then paid a surprise visit after training to our Gillingham Soccer School, signing autographs – and shoes! – for the excited participants, while goalkeeper Tom Hadler and midfielder Bradley Stevenson headed to Canterbury to meet and greet the group there. For Bradley, it was a real trip down memory lane, as the Soccer School was based at his former school, Canterbury High.
All of our Soccer School participants will have a chance to see the Gills players in action too, as everyone who books onto a Gills summer Soccer School will receive a free ticket voucher for a Gillingham FC first team home game later this season.
If you want to join the Gills Soccer School fun, places are still available at some of our upcoming sessions – check the Soccer School page for more information.
