We currently have positions available within the GFC School. Full details below:

 POST-16 EDUCATION TUTOR

The successful candidate needs to be hardworking, flexible, outgoing and self-driven with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality performance. Applicants should also be reliable, determined, and keen for the opportunity of a new experience. The positions would involve planning and delivery for Post-16 students across different projects.

The role is full time (37.5 hours per week).

Pay would be subject to qualifications and experience.

Responsible for:

  • Undertaking a lead role in the planning and delivery of education sessions to Post-16 Girls Academy and Youth Team Boys - Sport based BTECs and NVQs
  • Working alongside other staff members to ensure the best learning environment for learners within the group.
  • The welfare of young people within the group.

 

Key skills and experience required: Essential

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Educated to degree level in a sport related field.
  • Some experience in sports coaching.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child protection issues including holding a current Safeguarding Children certificate
  • An accepted Enhanced DBS Disclosure
  • Experience in teaching young people.
  • Ability to travel independently

Desirable

  • NVQ Assessor award.
  • Experience teaching BTEC Level 3 in sport.
  • Level 2 FA Coaching qualification.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Own transport and Full UK driving licence.

LEARNING MENTOR

Gillingham FC Community Trust are seeking two Learning Mentors for their Independent School, which is based at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.

We have one full-time Learning Mentor (Permanent) position, and one full-time Learning Mentor (Maternity Cover) position (one year contract, from December 2017 – July 2018).

We are looking for dedicated, positive and professional people to join our team.

Although we are a school, the working pattern is slightly different to other educational provisions, due to the nature of our students and the programme offered.

Learning Mentors will complement existing teachers and pastoral staff at the school, supporting students who need help to overcome barriers to learning and academic study both inside and outside the school, in order to achieve their full potential.

TUTOR

Gillingham FC Community Trust are seeking a Tutor for their Independent School.

We are looking for a dedicated, positive and professional person to join our team.

Although we are a school, the working pattern is slightly different to other educational provisions, due to the nature of our students and the programme offered.

The successful Tutor applicant will have a proven track record of raising standards, and identifying and addressing barriers to learning, and will be hard working with a commitment to CPD and changes to legislation. Experience of working within an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
