Gillingham FC are delighted to welcome Graham Holmes.
As part of a restructuring programme within the Club, Chairman Paul Scally is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Graham Holmes as Director of Business Development, who joins the Football Club having spent approximately 18 years as Director of Sport, Physical activity and recreation at the University of Kent.
Graham's experience is wide and extensive; he has experience in a number of areas around Sport and Education and will greatly enhance both these areas which are of significant strategic importance to the Club and the future development of our many community schemes within the operation.
Graham will also be tasked with looking at other commercial opportunities within the business and will be working alongside the Chairman in developing external relationships with partners in areas of commerce, education and of course sport.
Whilst at the University of Kent Graham led on strategic planning, capital projects and business and finance within sport.
He is ex-Royal Air Force (physical education and air crew) and a world record holder in Badminton singles endurance whereby he achieved 85 hours non-stop singles play.
He will begin his post officially on Monday September 25th.
On being appointed Graham said: “It’s a very exciting time to be joining the team at Gillingham Football Club and working closely with the Chairman across all aspects of the business.
"The Club has great potential, a vision for continual improvement and some fantastic people already on board. I'm delighted to help lead Gillingham Football Club into a new era.”

Graham’s experience and enthusiasm for the role will no doubt be of benefit to us all, I have been following his achievements and career for a number of years and I am therefore delighted Graham has agreed to join us.
