Zaire-born David arrived at Gillingham in June 2021, after his contract with Bristol Rovers, for whom he made 20 appearances in 2020-21, his only campaign with the club, was terminated, in order for him to pursue opportunities elsewhere. The defender began his professional career at Cardiff City, but didn’t make the first-team. He had loan periods with Newport County and York City before joining Barnet on a permanent deal in January 2017.
