This summer Gillingham’s Community Trust will be teaming up again with the Kent FA and FA Skills to offer TWO Girls Only Soccer Schools.

One will be taking place at The Canterbury High School, while the other will take place at our First Team Training Ground in Gillingham.

Full details:

Wednesday 5th August
@The Canterbury High School,
Knight Avenue,

Thursday 20th August
@ Beechings Cross Training Ground,
Grange Road,
ME7 2UD,
(On Grass)

Both days are FREE to attend, are open to girls aged between 5 and 12 years and run from 11am to 2pm.

Team Leader for the FA Skills, Pete Sayer said: “The previous days we have run have been extremely successful and we’ve seen a number of talented and enthusiastic girls on the courses.

"With the support of Gillingham FC and the KCFA we are continuing to promote and develop the female game at the most crucial younger age groups with an eye on growing the game in the future.”
Head of Community, Adam Lawrence added: “It’s great to team up with the Kent FA Skills Team as we are both working extremely hard to promote and offer female footballers opportunities in the game.

"As a club we have a very successful Centre of Excellence and have seen a number of girls attend our Soccer Schools and go on to be selected for squads at the Centre.”
