Digital Content Creator
Gillingham Football Club is hiring a Digital Content Creator to produce, publish, and strategize engaging written, visual, and multimedia content across various online platforms to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee all GFC’s social media accounts, including the creation, scheduling and posting of engaging content that entertains; collaboration with other departments in terms of the club’s social media output; and continual, active engagement with our online community
- Monitor social media trends to maximise engagement
- Work with Head of Media, Press & Communications to create a working Content Plan
- Capture/edit short form videos
- Support the Media & Communications, Commercial, and Events Departments with digital content and to engage in brainstorming ideas to that end, while ensuring consistent messaging and brand awareness
- Optimize content for search engines to improve visibility (SEO)
- Use analytics tools to track content performance and make data-driven adjustments
- Assist in the creation of GFC’s overall media and marketing content and strategy
Personal Specification
- Digital content experience in a professional environment required
- Filming and editing expertise required
- Self-starter who can produce creative, entertaining content
- Graphic design proficiency
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, basic Microsoft packages and video editing tools
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms (specifically Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
- Team player who liaises easily with various GFC departments
- Exceptional writing, communication and proofreading skills
- Capable of efficiently working on multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pivot, prioritise and meet deadlines in an ever-changing work environment
- Willing to work unsociable hours to cover matchdays and, if required, any events
- Access to own transport essential
Salary
- £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
Junior Sous Chef
Gillingham Football Club is looking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our catering team. Directly supporting the Head Chef, this position will play a key role in fueling our players and staff with healthy, nutritious meals, while supporting our hospitality and events. Specifications:
Cook and serve healthy breakfasts and lunches for 90+ staff and players.
Assist with banquets and events catering for up to 450 guests.
Deliver quick-service food for 20 executive boxes on matchdays.
Keep kitchen and service areas clean and compliant with HACCP and COSHH.
Support the Head Chef with menu ideas and daily operations.
Requirements:
Experience in high-volume catering or hospitality.
Confident in cooking healthy meals and large-scale banquets.
Strong food safety knowledge.
Quick, organised, and hands-on team player who is a good communicator.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work weekends and evenings, as required.
Salary Range:
£32,000 to £34,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
Stewards
Gillingham Football Club is always looking to expand its Matchday Stewarding Team at MEMS Priestfield Stadium.
Successful applicants will be:

Turnstile Operators
GFC is hiring Turnstile Operators to manage the arrival of supporters and ensure a safe entry into the stadium. Candidates must be approachable and friendly, and able to use a handheld scanner.
Matchday Hospitality Staff (Positions Filled)
The Club is looking for friendly and charismatic individuals to provide a warm welcome and to look after our guests on matchday. This role may include food and beverage service to guests. Applicants must demonstrate the utmost professionalism, as they will be customer-facing and will represent the Club to our corporate clients and matchday hospitality guests.
REQUIRED:
Over the age of 18
Experience in waiting/food service
DESIRABLE:
Previous bar tending experience
