Turnstile Operators
GFC is hiring Turnstile Operators to manage the arrival of supporters and ensure a safe entry into the stadium. Candidates must be approachable and friendly, and able to use a handheld scanner.
Matchday Hospitality Staff (Positions Filled)

We are actively looking for high quality football coaches to deliver on the below programmes:
Soccer Schools – Deliver engaging football experiences to players during school holidays, both in Medway and future expansion plans in the local region.
School Football & PE – Lead football & PE sessions during term time, either within school hours or as part of our future after-school programmes, introducing children to the principles of Football and physical activity.
What will you be doing?
As a Gillingham FC Foundation coach, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality football coaching as part of our Football & Sports Development Programmes. You’ll inspire young people and contribute to their technical and personal development.
Is this you?
You create a learning environment for players that aligns to our coaching philosophy, and the curriculums and frameworks instilled within our programmes. You’ll be organised and enthusiastic to deliver high quality coaching provision for players.
You have previous experience working with a variety of age groups particularly across the foundation phase, and have excellent communication skills; liaising with parents, teachers and players in a professional and polite manner. You have a positive attitude and a confident personality who thrives when overcoming challenges.

Conference and Events Sales Manager
Job Title - Conference & Events Sales Manager
Location - Gillingham Football Club
Hours - 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required. Attendance is required at every Gillingham Football Club home matchday to support the delivery and promotion of matchday hospitality and to engage with hospitality clients and prospective customers.
Salary - Salary dependent on experience, plus an attractive performance-related bonus scheme based on achieving agreed sales targets across conference and events bookings, Christmas parties and matchday hospitality sales.
About the Role
Gillingham Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic, driven and commercially minded Conference & Events Sales Manager to maximise revenue across our conference, events and hospitality facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to develop new business while nurturing existing client relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling our conference and event spaces for corporate meetings, private functions, celebrations, Christmas parties and other events, as well as driving sales of our matchday hospitality packages.
The role requires someone who is proactive, organised and passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while achieving ambitious sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and lead generation.
- Sell all conference and event spaces for corporate meetings, exhibitions, training events, celebrations and private functions.
- Maximise bookings for Christmas parties and festive events.
- Drive sales of matchday hospitality packages, seasonal hospitality and executive experiences.
- Develop relationships with local businesses and organisations.
- Respond promptly to enquiries and convert them into confirmed bookings.
- Conduct venue show-rounds and client meetings.
- Prepare bespoke quotations and proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Negotiate contracts and secure bookings in line with company procedures.
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
Account Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with corporate clients and repeat customers.
- Identify opportunities to upsell catering, hospitality and additional event services.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the CRM system.
Event Coordination
- Liaise with operations, catering and hospitality teams to ensure the seamless delivery of events.
- Attend key events when required to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct post-event follow-ups to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Work alongside the marketing team to promote conference facilities, Christmas events and hospitality packages.
- Support promotional campaigns, networking events and business exhibitions.

Administration
- Produce regular sales reports and revenue forecasts.
- Maintain accurate booking records and sales pipelines.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify new commercial opportunities.
Person Specification

- Proven experience in conference, events, hospitality or venue sales.

- Competent using Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
