Guest Gaelic footballer Keith Barr netted twice, Paul Kelly and boss Damien Richardson added the other during the tour of Ireland. This game marked the official opening of a sports & leisure centre in the town

BIRTHS...

1900 - John McGregor

John, who was born in Darlington, joined the Gills from the Royal Navy in July 1930 and made his debut in the fifth game of the season against Northampton Town at Priestfield.

He was very much the first choice right-back over the next two seasons making a total of 70 appearances.

At the end of the 1931-32 campaign he joined Crystal Palace.
