The following former Gillingham player was born on this day.....
1906 - Harry Randle
Harry joined the Gills from Southend United in the summer of 1934 and made his debut against Millwall at home in the second game of the campaign.
After two goals, which were both penalties in successive games, in 119 appearances for the club he joined Accrington Stanley at the end of the 1936-37 season.

DEATHS...
1975 - Alfred Young
Alfred was signed by manager Albert Hoskins from Hartlepools United in August 1928.
He made his debut in the season curtain-opener, a 2-2 home draw with Fulham.
Just over a year after arriving he signed for Workington having made 19 appearances for the Gills.
