1900 - Alfred Young
He joined the Gills from Hartlepool United in August 1928 and quickly made his debut against Fulham at home
After just 19 appearances he returned north in September 1929 , signing for Workington.
1918 - Dennis Hillman
The outside right had been with home-town club Southend United, Brighton & HA and Colchester United before moving to Gillingham in August 1951, making his debut against Millwall at home.
He made 21 appearances during the season but left the following summer and went on to play for Hastings United and Ramsgate Athletic.
