SLD1 1896 - Southampton 8-3 New Brompton  

Ian later made more than 500 appearances for Weymouth, a club he also managed.

He made a total of six appearances, just two starts, in total before returning to the Shay in March 1995.

After playing for the reserves, he earnt a monthly contract and made his debut as a substitute at Hereford United in October 1994.

Midfielder Ian had played for Halifax Town, Berwick Rangers, Whitley Bay and Cork City before coming to Priestfield, initially on non-contract terms during the 1993-94 season.
