BIRTHS...
1954 - John Crabbe
Previously with Southampton, the midfielder cost £10,000 when he signed in January 1977 and made a goalscoring debut at Reading in a 2-1 win.
He went on to score 14 goals in 203 games for the Gills and later played for Carlisle United, Hereford United, Crewe Alexandra and Torquay United.
Spells then followed back in Kent in a variety of playing, coaching and managerial roles.
1967 - Lawrence Osborne
The midfielder came through the ranks at Arsenal and was with a number of clubs before joining the Gills in a £30,000 deal from Maidstone United in December 1991.
He made his debut at Rotherham but his time at Priestfield was plagued by injuries and he made just five appearances.
