1924 - Jackie Briggs

Gills manager Archie Clark signed the forward from the Royal Engineers in October 1946.

He made a goalscoring debut in the 12-1 Southern League victory over Gloucester City in which Hughie Russell, with whom he went on to forge a terrific partnership, netted nine times.

In his seven seasons with the club he scored 63 goals in 180 appearances abefore later playing for Folkestone Town and Betteshangar Colliery Welfare.
