BIRTHS...

1904 After a spell in South Africa he returned to Kent and played for Dartford, Canterbury City, Gravesend & Northfleet and Sheppey United.

He made the first of just 16 games at Tranmere Rovers just days later but was a regular in the reserves.

Forward Roy was signed by Freddie Cox in September 1962 from Tottenham Hotspur.

He later played for Sligo Rovers, Yeovil Town, Guildford City and Margate.

Archie Clark signed the Irish forward from Fulham in June 1950 but he made just two appearances in his one season at Priestfield.

Randy Jenkins - 1923

In all Billy made 92 appearances, scoring 12 goals, in his time at Priestfield before joining Grimsby Town in June 1955.

He made his debut at Bristol City the following month and went on to miss just one game that season and was almost as consistent in 1954-55.

The former Aston Villa and Notts County forward joined the Gills in July 1953.

He had made a dozen appearances before joining Stalybridge Celtic

Albert arrived at Priestfield from Torquay United in June 1934 and ironically made his debut against his former side on the opening day of the season.
