Keep up to date with developments at Priestfield tonight

The Gills begin their Capital One Cup campaign later this evening when Bristol City visit MEMS Priestfield Stadium for our first round encounter.

The two sides met at the same stage last season when goals from Danny Kedwell and Ben Strevens were enough to seal a 2-1 victory at Ashton Gate.

Circumstances are a bit different this time around with both teams now playing in the same division, but with neither side having won their opening league game, this presents a chance to gain some momentum.

Our `Cover it Live` service will be in operation for the game, and you can join us half an hour prior to kick off for the pre-match build up and all of the team news as it reaches us.

From there on in you will receive updates as they happen during the game.

There are no replays in the Capital One Cup, so if the scores are level after 90 minutes the match will go to extra time.

If the sides still cannot be separated, then the tie will be decided via a penalty shoot-out.

Please be aware that, due to the high quantity of comments we receive at busy times, not all comments will be published and neither will questions that have already been answered more than once (if you are late joining the blog, please scroll upwards to see what has already been said).
