Gillingham’s first team squad play Santa at the Medway Maritime Hospital
Peter Taylor and the Gillingham team visited the Medway Maritime Hospital today to wish a Merry Christmas to all of the children on Dolphin and Penguin Wards.The players signed autographs, handed out presents, posed for photos and enjoyed meeting the children and their parents and spreading a bit of festive cheer.
The children, who ranged in age from new born babies to early teens, enjoyed chatting with their favourite Gills players and were each presented with a selection of GFC gifts.
Ann McKinnon who co-ordinated the visit on behalf of the staff on Dolphin and Penguin wards, said “The children always look forward to the players visit at Christmas. Some of them have been with us for a few weeks now and it doesn’t just give the kids a lift, it’s fun for the parents too.”
