Former players in the news...

Last week Leyton Orient completed the signing of utility man Romain Vincelot on a deal until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old, who scored once [at AFC Wimbledon on his debut] in 11 appearances while on loan at Gillingham earlier this season, was released by the Seagulls last month.

The Frenchman, who can operate in defence or midfield, came to England in January 2010 when he joined Dagenham & Redbridge and moved to Brighton & HA in the summer of 2011.


Patrick Agyemang became another of the revolving-door faces at Portsmouth when he joined the stricken club on a one-month loan from Stevenage last week and made his debut in the South Coast derby defeat at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

The 32-year-old former Ghana international, who scored eight goals in 34 appearances for the Gills back in 2004 before joining Preston in a £350,000 deal, has failed to score in 16 appearances since joining Stevenage last summer.


The experienced Efe Sodje, now 40, has signed a one-month loan deal at Blue Square Premier strugglers Barrow and made his debut in a 5-2 defeat at Southport on Tuesday.

Born in Greenwich, the former Nigerian international, made 16 appearances for the Gills prior to a permanent move to Bury in the summer of 2008 where he was player-coach following an initial loan spell.

He has been sent-off twice and received six yellow cards in 16 games for the Shakers this season but Efe was due to make his 600th senior career appearance yesterday.


There is also news on a couple of former Gillingham youngsters, Rimmel Daniel and Rory Hill.

The versatile Daniel, who works as a male model, has signed for Ryman League Division One North Tilbury from AFC Hornchurch.

During his time as a youngster here at Priestfield he once scored eight times for Grenada Under-20’s as the Spice Boyz beat the British Virgin Islands 17-0 and went on to play five senior internationals.

Rimmel made his debut for the Dockers in a 1-1 draw at Needham Market last Saturday.

Winger Hill meanwhile has signed for Ryman League Division One South Maidstone United following his release by Tonbridge Angels.

He made his debut for the promotion chasers in the recent win at Corinthian Casuals.
