LATE KICK OFF RETURNS

26 February 2013

Late Kick Off returns to BBC One in a new Sunday night slot on March 10th

Late Kick Off returns to BBC One in a new Sunday night slot on March 10th after Match of the Day 2.

There are 7 regional versions of the show with Gillingham covered by Late Kick Off: London & South East.

Host Jacqui Oatley and regular guest Mark Bright, will be joined by current managers and players each week. "I'm absolutely delighted to have been asked to present BBC Late Kick Off for the London & South East region,” said Jacqui.

“It's a huge patch covering 13 football teams and I can't wait to help bring news, insight and colour from those clubs straight to the supporters.”

Late Kick Off reporter Chris Slegg said: “Gillingham have given us plenty to talk about in the three previous seasons we’ve been on air.

A couple of seasons back we were granted special behind the scenes access to film with former striker Ade Akinfenwa and learn about the sports psychology he uses to prepare himself for matches.

Last year Brighty went down to the training ground to speak to Gills record appearance maker Ron Hillyard. Obviously it looks like being an exciting end to the season at Priestfield and we’re looking forward to following every twist and turn and cheering the Gills on to promotion.”

Each week Late Kick Off: London & South East will have highlights from the Football League matches involving the 13 teams in the region as well as interviews and features.

If you can’t stay up to watch the programme on a Sunday night, all 7 regional versions will be available on the iPlayer for the following week.
