Martin one of three on January shortlist....
Martin Allen is among the nominees for the January npower League Two `Manager of the Month` award.The Gills won three of their five league games last month with back to back wins against Southend and Bristol Rovers and a home draw against York sandwiched by a 2-1 loss to Port Vale.
However the side made amends and followed that up with a fantastic performance against Northampton at Priestfield, the hosts winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Cody McDonald and Myles Weston to round off the month in style.
In total ten points were claimed from the five games, keeping the Gills within the top two places of the league table.
The other nominees for the award are Neal Ardley (AFC Wimbledon) whose side went unbeaten during January, and John Ward (Bristol Rovers) who took nine points from a possible 12.
The winner of the award will be announced this Friday morning at 10am on Sky Sports News.
